If you would like to hire me to provide experienced, entertaining and educational advice and support on dog-related issues, please contact me.
I am author of ‘What Your Dog Wants’, ’21 Days to the Perfect Dog’ and the acclaimed ‘Being a Dog’ (all Hamlyn Publishing UK/Firefly Publishing USA), translated into a number of languages. I’ve also written numerous articles about many aspects of dog training for both British, American and wider international publications including Dogs Today Magazine, Dogs Monthly, Pet Focus, Pet Gazette, PETS International, Veterinary Practice Today, Companion Animal Journal and Dr Ian Dunbar’s DogStarDaily.
Dr Ian Dunbar said of Karen’s book ‘Being a Dog’: “I just love this concept – our world from the dogs’ point of view. Dogs are dogs; they do doggy things and see (hear and smell) the world very differently from us. Sadly, all too often, dogs are punished for being ‘bad’ when they simply didn’t appreciate the human way, understand the house rules, or perceive the instructions. Karen’s well-written, beautifully illustrated, unique and fascinating book is a must-read for all dog-interested people. Your dog will thank you for it. — Ian Dunbar PhD, BVetMed, MRCVS Founder, Association of Professional Dog Trainers”
I write a syndicated weekly column for local newspapers with Johnston Press, including Stamford Mercury, Lincolnshire Gazette and the Bourne Local (see Karen’s columns here)
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to discuss hiring me to write for your publication or book commission. I provide clean, succinct copy well within deadline.
